Please help Water N’ Webs to fulfill its mission of providing quality care to orphaned baby birds this spring.

Each May through August Water N’ Webs is inundated with calls from the public who have rescued baby ducks, geese, cygnets (baby swans) and songbirds in need of assistance. Both wild and domestic.

The reasons for babies being orphaned or separated from their parents are numerous.  A mother mallard is struck and killed by a vehicle while attempting to take her babies across a busy road, falling through a sewer grate, public interference, and dogs and cats.

Your donation as always,
is tax deducktible.

Every winter Water N’ Webs asks that our members help us to provide life-saving corn, poultry pellets, and greens to wintering-over waterfowl on local lakes, ponds, parks, and reservoirs.

This would not be necessary if not for the fact that well-meaning people feed waterfowl on ponds. Waterfowl survive largely on marsh and grassland plants, invertebrates, and fish. In winter when these food items are scarce the birds migrate south. There is strong evidence that feeding waterfowl interferes with migration.

Waterfowl are encouraged to remain at local ponds when people feed them. This includes not only wild ducks and geese but also abandoned/former Easter ducks and geese incapable of flight. These birds need help to survive the harsh winter months. This is when people who have “trained” them to rely on handouts stop feeding leaving these ducks and geese in danger of starvation.

Water N’ Webs volunteers brave the ice and snow to deliver our version of ‘Meals on Wheels’ to these birds.

Copious amounts of snow and ice cover prevent birds from finding any natural food there may be.

Please help Water N’ Webs help the birds this winter and give what you can.

Thank you for your support!
